Rattling noise just appears to be the T-piece & oil pressure gauges 
rattling about against the inlet plenium combined with the engine just 
being chain driven in general, so think that solves that one. Still not 
sure on the brakes as to what's up, will attempt to solve over the next 
few months.
Although having said that, I've been seriously 
thinking about getting rid of it before the end of the year to make room
 for a new car that I'll actually be able to drive around daily, plus 
with the sale of it then I won't have to get a loan for the new car.
